I am sure that you must be excited and looking forward very eagerly to participate at the 24th National Para Swimming Championships to be held at Olympic Swimming Pool, Panaji, Goa from October 19-22, 2024.
The Championships are conducted by Paralympic Committee of India which are jointly hosted by the Office of the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and Sports Authority of Goa in association with Para Sports Association of Goa and Para Swimming Federation of India.
over 500 Para Swimmers representing 28 different States shall be taking part in the 4-day event where a total of 300 Medals in Men & Women sections and all 3 age groups are on stake.
If you are an athlete you need to give selection trail conducted by your state para sports association and they must send your entry through online portal between 1-10th October 2024.
You need to book your travel and accommodation by own because Paralympic committee of India and organising committee has clearly mentioned that they will not provide any facilities except lunch at pool on all 4 days.
What best can be done by state association for the support of para swimming team is they should approach state government sports department for the assistance to provide kit, Travelling allowance, Dearness allowances and accommodation facilities for selected players in Goa for hassle free and stress free competition.
One best example is coming from Odisha government that they are providing best treatment to the selected para swimmers to participate in the Goa. They’re giving air travel, hotel, food, Kits to all the selected athlete and support staff. Other state should also follow the same for the better results and dignified life of athlete.
What best you can expect as a sports lover and spectators.
The best of Indian para swimmers star like Three times Paralympian Suyash Jadhav from Maharashtra, Niranjan Mukundan from Karnataka, Mohammad Shams Aalam from Bihar, Himanshu Nadal from Haryana, Swapnil Patil from Maharashtra , Divanshi Satija from Haryana and many more star para swimmers are taking part in this championship.
Goa is a beautiful tourists place famous for its beautiful and clean beaches so you can have fun after the splashing races.
Why I am excited to compete in Goa because this championship will serve the basis for international competition and national camp selection. Also I vividly remember my Longest open sea swimming Limca book of world records by a paraplegic swimmer which I made in April 2017 for making the awareness on accessibility and making Goa beaches accessible for disabled people.
I request all the news channel, print and electronic media to please cover this national championship which is nothing less than a festival for hundred of Para swimmers and the coaches, support staff, technical staff and many other stakeholders associated with it.
I am super excited to compete at Goa and looking forward to meet you all personally to click some beautiful pic for lifetime memories.
Let’s set go Goa👨🦽🏊♂️✈️
