Wishing speedy recovery to Mr Govind Arun Ahuja (born 21 December 1963), better known by his stage name Govinda, is an Indian actor and politician. Actor Govinda got injured and was hospitalised due to a gunshot wound on Tuesday morning. Recently, the actor got discharged from the hospital. He was seen on a wheelchair thanking his fans and followers.

I being a wheelchair user and an Ambassador for assistive device for the empowerment of person with disabilities always speak and spread the massage of using assistive device without any hesitation.
I have seen many people in foreign countries useing wheelchairs, walkers, power wheelchairs, etc for their ease and improving their mobility. But I have seen people in India they hesitate to use assistive device and feel ashamed. If some use wheelchair people called them disabled. That is the reason many old age or young people don’t use assistive devices.
I always give example that if someone uses a spectacle to improve his visibility we don’t call them disabled then why do we address a wheelchair user Disabled?
We should encourage people to use assistive devices for their ease of life and empowerment.
Mr Govinda recently uses wheelchair after he got discharged from hospital and it’s perfectly fine. Do we call him disabled? No it’s just a temporarily disability and he is using assistive device to improve his mobility. Same way we witness during the Loksabha Election Tejaswi Yadav also used wheelchair to improve his mobility and continue his Loksabha Election campaign 2024.

I wanted to conclude this write up by sharing my thought with you all.
Assistive devices and assistive technology are always for the empowerment of people and not to make their lives difficult. It is not making you disabled but enabling people to achieve their daily activities and goal easily. So it is actually making us enable and empowered.

Once again wishing speedy recovery to our hero number one the ultimate Bollywood super star of 90’s.
